NEW YORK STATE OPHTHALMOLOGICAL SOCIETY
Contribute to EyePacEach year hundreds of bills are introduced in the NYS legislature. A range of these bills have the potential to have a profound effect on the ophthalmological community. These include proposals dealing with health insurance matters, medical liability, physician discipline, public health, and allied health provider scope of practice expansion. The NYS Committee for Medical Eye Care, the Society’s bipartisan Political Action Committee (PAC), is ophthalmology’s unified voice in the State Capitol. A well-financed PAC enhances access to legislators and provides NYSOS an opportunity to educate and inform them about ophthalmology’s legislative agenda. It is critical that NYSOS support and advocate for the campaigns of Senate and Assembly Representatives who understand the current and long-term challenges faced by ophthalmologists practicing in New York State. |
Personal and Corporate Contributions: The NYS Election Law places aggregate calendar year limits on the amount of political contributions that can be made by individuals and corporations. For additional information visit the NYS Board of Elections website.
Please note that PAC contributions are not deductible as a business expense.
